North Norfolk and the Norfolk Broads are particularly well served with delightfully attractive, riverside eating places; usually centuries-old pubs. You can reach riverside pubs by car, albeit often along somewhat narrow country lanes; usually loved, but sometimes feared, by overseas visitors. If you fancy foreign cuisine there are fine Indian restaurants in Aylsham and Wroxham, Thai restaurants in Coltishall, Wroxham & Horning. There are also Chinese restaurants in North Walsham and notably Wroxham where the establishment is in the former waiting rooms at the station!
For those not wanting to sit down there are many takeaway establishments for fish & chips in Buxton itself, Wroxham, Coltishall, North Walsham & Stalham all which have Chinese takeaways as well. Not forgetting too that many people enjoy the opportunity of a “McDonalds” which you will find locally in the shopping centre of Roys “the largest village store in the world” at Wroxham.
There are plenty of cafes and tearooms in the seaside towns and often at the many visitors centres. Finally there is for Norfolk the cosmopolitan City of Norwich where you will find a range of eating places as good as anywhere.
Wherever you sample your food on your holiday please leave your comments “good or bad” in our visitors book for others to see.
