After a devastating fire in 1991, Buxton Mill was faithfully, restored it to its 18th Century glory under the supervision of architect Keith Reay who used 19th Century North American Pitch Pine (the original material used for the mill) salvaged from across Britain. At the time it was the largest timber framed re-construction ever to take place in the UK. It has now been developed into nine luxury apartments.
